AC Milan had Mats Wieffer in their sights at the beginning of the transfer market, and the profile of Wieffer continues to be monitored by the Rossoneri's market team. So far, however, they have not made a decisive move with Feyenoord to bring him to Milan, as told by Calcio Mercato.
In recent hours, a new opportunity is emerging for the Dutch midfielder, born in 1999 and under contract until June 30, 2027, that does not involve Italy. According to English sources, it seems that the Premier League side, Brighton, has made a concrete move and has met with his agent to lay the groundwork for negotiations.
It is worthy to note that Feyenoord paid "only" 600,000 euros to acquire him from Excelsior in the summer of 2022, and now they are asking for no less than 15 million euros to let him go.
Wieffer, who is 24 years old, made 42 appearances in the 2023 - 2024 season. He managed to score 6 goals and also 4 assists. Overall, he played a total of 3720 minutes.
