The name of 31-year-old Spanish striker Alvaro Morata is back in AC Milan's transfer market shortlist, just like a year ago. According to Sky Sport, the Rossoneri are reportedly in contact to try and sign the Spanish striker from Atletico Madrid, who recently turned down a transfer to Saudi Arabia.
The forward, on his social media channels, spoke only a few hours ago: "I can't imagine what it must be like to win with this shirt, and I won't stop until I've achieved it", a rather clear message from Morata. Recently, the player himself indicated that Atletico Madrid didn't seem willing to part with him: "I've received messages from many people at the club these days, but not from Simeone. I know him very well, if he didn't count on me, he would have called to tell me."
In Alvaro Morata's contract with Atletico Madrid, there is reportedly a 13 million euros release clause, easily triggered by Milan, who had planned - in case of complete agreements - to invest 40 million euros for Josua Zirkzee's transfer. The issue regarding the former Juventus player's wages needs to be understood. His name, however, therefore, must be considered among the options for the Rossoneri attack, amidst the current situation over the past few weeks, especially after the issues related to the 15 million euros commissions requested by Kia Joorabchian for Zirkzee.
