For months and weeks, there has been talk about a strong striker that Milan needed to acquire following Olivier Giroud's decision to play in the United States. However, the scenario now seems to have changed, and Milan's offensive reinforcements could be two: the first is Alvaro Morata, the second could be Tammy Abraham. Additionally, Luka Jovic, whose contract the club has already decided to extend, must also be mentioned.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported this morning that, immediately after tomorrow night's Euro final between Spain and England, the Spanish captain will give his final yes to Milan. Initially, the Rossoneri club managers have proposed a three-year agreement to the Atletico Madrid striker, who has a release clause of 13 million euros, but eventually decided to meet the player's demands and offered a four-year contract worth 4.5 million per season. For now, Morata is focused solely on the Euro final, but Monday is the day when his response to the Rossoneri's proposal is expected.
While the Spanish deal is immediate, the timeline for Abraham would inevitably be longer. It is true that he is on his way out of Roma, but the Giallorossi do not currently intend to sell him at a discount. As days go by, however, the conditions could change, and the Giallorossi's demands might become less stringent. One hypothesis could be Milan including a technical counterpart in the deal: there have been rumors of a swap with Jovic, but as of today, there are no conditions for that. Okafor or Saelemaekers? For now, these are just speculations.
