La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's print edition noted that by the end of the summer transfer window, Milan aims to finalise the contract renewal for the left-back Theo Hernández.
The French star, born in 1997, is currently under contract with the Rossoneri club management until June 30, 2026, with a salary of 4 million euros net per season plus bonuses. Milan's plan is to extend the relationship between the parties until June 30, 2029, increasing Theo's salary to 6.5 million euros, the same amount Rafael Leão earns.
The newspaper also mentioned that Mike Maignan is in a similar contractual situation as Theo Hernández (contract expiring in two years, but with a lower salary of 2.8 million euros net per season plus bonuses). The French goalkeeper, born in 1995, like his compatriot, will also be called by the Rossoneri at the end of the August transfer window to discuss a renewal.
Without a new contract, however, Milan's captain, Davide Calabria, could leave as a free agent at the end of this season, as his agreement will expire on June 30, 2025.
