In addition to the forward, about whom there should be news in the coming hours after the Euro 2024 final featuring Alvaro Morata, Milan is also looking for a new defender and a new midfielder. Today, Gazzetta dello Sport mainly discusses the first role and the main candidate on the Rossoneri club's shortlist: the 2001-born Serbian Strahinja Pavlovic from Salzburg. In a brief note, the newspaper emphasizes that the center-back could reunite at Milanello with some of his former teammates.
The newspaper published the following headlines:
"The defender could find three former teammates in Milan: Jovic, Okafor, and... Fofana."
The first two are currently at Milan: Luka Jovic is a national team colleague, also in the last European Championship where Serbia was eliminated in the group stage; Okafor played for Salzburg until last summer.

Then there’s Youssouf Fofana, who crossed paths with Strahinja Pavlovic for just six months at Monaco before the Serbian was sold.
The French midfielder is also a clear target for Milan in midfield.
The situation for both is similar: they have already accepted Milan but are waiting for the clubs to reach an agreement.
Both clubs are actually asking to receive a fee that is around 20 to 25 million euros.
