Alvaro Morata, who won the Euro cup with Spain last night against England, had these words to say for the microphones of Sky Sport Italia:
A greeting to his former Juventus teammate, Giorgio Chiellini, who was present in the studio:
"For me, you have always been an example as a player, but especially as a man. I thank you for the way you treated me. You have been a champion and remain a person I admire. At the last European Championship final, I cheered for Italy because you are my friends and because my family is Italian. Today, it was our turn."
On the victory against England and the many criticisms received at home:
"In this European Championship, I had to put on my work clothes and do a lot of work. I am proud of what I have done in my career with the National Team. I believe I deserved this trophy precisely because I never gave up. We are a very solid group, and there was a fantastic atmosphere in these weeks. Sometimes I had to raise my voice a bit, but these guys are good, and in the end, we would all laugh together."
Could you join Milan this summer? Morata answered:
"I don't know, we'll see. For now, I am thinking about enjoying this European Championship."
