Junior Messias, former Milan player and now with Genoa, was interviewed by Il Secolo XIX. The current Genoa forward spoke about his current form and thoughts on retiring from football, recalling Ibra's farewell. Here are his words:
"Here at Genoa, I have found the joy of playing again", says Genoa's number 10. "I love challenges and I already know that when I stop, I will be looking for a new one. For now, I’m not thinking about when I’ll retire; I would like to play for at least another five years if my body allows it. I saw Ibra suffer so much when he decided to leave football, how difficult it was for him. And I know it will be tough for me too, but this is not the time to think about it. A season to forget? Only for me, not for the team. I got injured during the preparation with Milan, and I arrived here needing to recover."
