Last night in Paris, Casa Italia was inaugurated, serving as the headquarters for athletes, guests, and fans during the Olympic Games, which officially begin this evening and will keep us company for the next two weeks. Milan's mayor, Giuseppe Sala, was also present at the event and then spoke to the media.
Here are his words on the stadium matter:
"I am moderately optimistic. There is interest from the teams (Milan and Inter), and we are in discussions. Obviously, it is a complex matter because they continue to consider the two options: either San Siro or a new stadium. I obviously have to do my part, which is to protect San Siro, but I believe these reflections won’t take much longer. So, I tell everyone to wait and see what happens in the next two or three months, which will be decisive."
