Yunus Musah has spoken to the media in a press conference on the eve of the AC Milan friendly match against Real Madrid in Chicago. Here are his statements:
Our correspondent Vito Angele to Yunus Musah: in the last match, Milan played well with more intensity, and more pressing. The question is, what changed with Fonseca this year?
"I think we came back from the break fresh physically and mentally. So we're trying to learn from the staff and the manager. I think it's too early to say right now..."
What do you think of the AC Milan young players, who are younger than you like Liberali, Nasti, or Camarda?
"I've got to train with them for a few days now, and they have been doing well. I remember when it was my first pre-season in the first team and I was excited to show what I got so I'm sure they want to do the same."
Yunus Musah, what's your relationship with Christian Pulisic, do you hang out together?
"Yes, we have a good relationship, and before playing for AC Milan. Now, that we play together and see each other, we have definitely grown a better bond outside and in the training centre. We have grown our relationship together."
Pioli last season, now Fonseca. A newfound intensity, how's the atmosphere?
"It's always the thing when you finish a season and you get to go on a break and come back, every footballer has new motivations and excited again. So whether we have a new manager or not, we'll always have that feeling. In the changing room now, everyone is motivated and energetic."
Will we see more of you in the next couple of matches? Yunus Musah answered:
"Hopefully, I'd love to play to get my rhythm going and get ready for the season."
On Luka Modric, what do you think about him as an example to follow?
"I played against him in La Liga... He is a great player and definitely a player to learn from."
