AC Milan's star Rafael Leao gave a long interview to Gazzetta dello Sport where he also made a very important personal announcement:
"I’m going to be a father soon, a father of twins. They should be born in November. I’m sure it will be a very nice experience; I like children. Let’s say I have another reason to value my family and continue working for them. What will we name them? Rodrigo and Tiago."
On Paulo Fonseca, Leao said:
"He is a very direct person, he immediately shows what he wants. His teams have always played beautiful football and for forwards, it's top-notch: I see myself fitting well with him, and the teammates are also happy. The training sessions are very intense, always with the ball: I think we have already understood all his playing ideas, it will be great. Milan’s identity has historically been with the ball and here all the players are involved in possession: I think he is the right coach. What does he ask of me? He asks me to stay wide, look for the ball, and play one-twos to get close to the area."
On the arrivals of Alvaro Morata and Strahinja Pavlovic:
"Morata and Giroud are two champions: when one leaves, another comes in. Giroud has made history at Milan but I also know Morata well; he’s a forward who works and is very mobile, it will be great for us other forwards. We hope he scores a lot of goals too. Pavlovic? He’s strong, aggressive, good with the ball, and has a strong physique. I must say that I also like the other players linked to Milan this summer."
Leao also spoke about Zlatan Ibrahimovic:
"We talk to each other. When we played, the friendship was different; I always had him by my side. Now, if I need anything, I know I can call him at any hour. He is one of the people who can take me to another level. What advice does he give me? He talks to me about mentality, saying that on the field I need to be more aggressive. And I want to become that!"
