According to a report from Spanish outlet Deportes Cope Sevilla, Milan has set its sights on Johnny Cardoso, a 2001-born midfielder, and has already made an offer of 20 million euros to Real Betis.
The Spanish club's asking price, however, is 30 million euros. The American player also has an Italian passport, so if he were to be acquired by the Rossoneri, he would not occupy the remaining non-EU slot at the club.
Cardoso, the 22-year-old defensive midfielder of Real Betis, has a valid contract until the summer of 2029. He is right-footed and stands at 186 centimetres tall. Last season, he featured in 19 matches, 17 in La Liga and 2 others in the UEFA Conference League. He played for a total of 1512 minutes, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process.
