In a press conference, the AC Milan club advisor and former player, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has spoken about the new signing, Strahinja Pavlovic.
Here are his words:
"We were looking for a defender with a good profile. Last year we conceded a lot of goals, and he was the perfect player for our scout team. We were all convinced."
He added:
"He's a player who uses his left foot, in defence we only have Theo who is left-footed. Pavlovic is intense, the team needs nastiness and he's the right one. Even the previous coach liked Strahinja."
Ibrahimovic continued to talk about Strahinja Pavlovic in the following way:
"We are happy, I am sure he will be preferred by the fans. When he enters the duels he puts his heart into it. The fans notice that."
A journalist, calls the player 'Pavlo', then Ibrahimovic intervenes, laughing:
"You're already giving him a nickname? This is a beast, not Pavlo."
Now with Strahinja Pavlovic you have five center-backs:
"We have five center-backs. Kalulu can also play on the right. Out of our four center-backs, only Pavlovic is left-footed. We think it's important to have left-footed defenders. It will be a market of details: we will bring these details into the team. And one of these details was a left-footed center-back. Strahinja is a leader both on and off the field, even though he's only 22. It's important to have players like that when you have a very young team. We believe Kalulu can play on the right; it's good to have alternatives. But the technical choice must be made by the coach."
