One of the few negative aspects of the American tour was the injuries. Both were serious: the first was a knee injury for Alessandro Florenzi, and the second was a hand injury for Marco Sportiello.
Both situations had repercussions on the Rossoneri market: in the first case, there was a rush for Emerson Royal, who is now close to joining Milan; in the second case, talks began for Simone Scuffet, the current goalkeeper of Cagliari.
As Tuttosport writes this morning, however, the discussions between Milan and Cagliari for Scuffet would have been put on hold. This is not only due to negotiation issues and terms but also because of the simultaneous emergence of Lorenzo Torriani, the 19-year-old Italian talent. The young Milan goalkeeper took advantage of Maignan's absence and Sportiello's injury to showcase his skills in the pre-season friendlies: and he did it very well.
With a coach who has praised him and a club so attentive to young prospects, the possibility of seeing him permanently integrated into the first team is not so remote.
