AC Milan is looking for a physical midfielder to place in front of the defence, and for months now, the top name on the list has consistently been Youssouf Fofana. The negotiation with Monaco has been ongoing for weeks, and the gap between demand and offer is still wide. At Casa Milan, however, they are confident they will be able to secure the player by the end of August.
This morning, Corriere della Sera reported that Milan is banking on the French midfielder’s willingness, with whom they have had an agreement for some time. The risk is that as days go by, the chances of another club, particularly an English one, getting involved increase. For example, Manchester United seems to have made initial contact with Monaco in recent days.
