The list of potential suitors for Federico Chiesa is shrinking day by day, and he remains in limbo, outside of Thiago Motta’s project. In other words, Juventus hopes to move him elsewhere by August 30, aiming to secure 15-18 million euros.
This money would be useful for financing new arrivals (Koopmeiners and Nico Gonzalez, among others). Unfortunately, Tuttosport highlights that both Napoli and Inter have pulled out of the race for the Juventus number 7. The reason is simple: De Laurentiis' club has shifted focus to David Neres of Benfica (negotiations in an advanced state…); while the Nerazzurri don’t want to “gift” a direct competitor.
His agent, Fali Ramadani, is actively seeking a solution: the presence of the well-known agent at Casa Milan last week did not go unnoticed. Officially, the meeting was about Jovic’s future. However, it’s possible that Chiesa was also discussed, considering he was fond of the Rossoneri colours as a youngster. Moreover, Milan has a player on the roster who is a favorite of Motta: Alexis Saelemaekers. The Belgian player could be a functional addition to Juventus’s attacking wing positions. In short, there might be room for a potential swap, as relayed via Milan News.
There is a downside, Tuttosport concludes: Chiesa’s high salary (5 million plus bonuses) clashes a bit with Milan’s parameters. Although, with not many Italians on the roster, a dose of Italian talent could be useful for the team’s lists. At the moment, we are still in the realm of inquiries and preliminary discussions.
