Regarding Pierre Kalulu's deal, according to Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, the negotiation is on the verge of completion between the two clubs. But, it might not be the only operation between the two.
After losing Todibo to West Ham, Juventus' sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has targeted Pierre Kalulu for the defence, a player also favored by Thiago Motta who can play in a dual role. As reported by the newspaper, an agreement has been reached both with the player and the Rossoneri club in a short time. Kalulu, seeking more playing time after falling behind in the hierarchy, will earn around 2.5 million euros net per year. The deal with Milan is based on a paid loan of 3.5 million euros, with an additional 14 million euros for the buyout. Despite Milan's pressure, there is neither an obligation nor a conditional buyout. In the ongoing phone talks, the value of the bonuses (about 3 million euros) and the percentage of a future resale are still to be defined. Only the final green light is awaited, but the finish line is near, with Juventus hoping to have the Frenchman available for the season opener against Como next Monday.
Pierre Kalulu’s move might not be the only transaction between Turin and Milan; a reverse route could also be considered. Three Juventus players might end up on Milan's radar. The first is the much-discussed Federico Chiesa, who is at odds with Juventus over his contract expiring in 2025.
Chiesa was reportedly offered to Milan, but they declined, particularly due to his 6 million euro salary request. Juventus values him at 15 million euros, and he is awaiting an offer from the Premier League. Recent discussions between the two clubs have also included Weston McKennie, who is set to leave. He was offered directly by Juventus to Milan, but the Rossoneri are keeping Fofana as their primary midfield target. Finally, an interesting option could be Arek Milik, who is currently recovering from an injury and whom Juventus wants to keep as Vlahovic's backup. However, he could leave for a tempting offer. Milan is looking for a backup for Morata, and the Polish striker could be among the potential targets.
