Tommaso Pobega is leaving Milan, and it could be a permanent departure. The midfielder, formerly of Spezia and Torino, while useful for squad lists, would not have had space in Paulo Fonseca's rotations. Therefore, the Rossoneri have decided to work with Bologna, a very active contender, on a loan transfer with an option to buy.
Pobega, who was affected by an injury in mid-December last season, could thus become a Bologna player permanently at the end of this season, although he will have to compete with Fabbian and also with Ferguson once the Scot, having recovered from injury, returns to Vincenzo Italiano’s squad.
The player is fully open to the move to Bologna. In fact, the former Fiorentina coach will reunite with Pobega after their season together at Spezia in 2020-21, when Tommaso was on loan in Spezia.
Pobega made 15 appearances last season, while under Italiano in 2020/21, he had 20 appearances, 6 goals, and 3 assists, helping to dramatically save Spezia from relegation in their first Serie A season.
