Roma is looking to finalize the deal for Manu Koné. The French midfielder is Daniele De Rossi's preferred choice, and in recent hours, the Giallorossi have surpassed Milan in the race. A summit with Borussia Monchengladbach's executives was scheduled today.

The German club is asking for around 20 million euros, but the gap between the parties is narrowing. Roma already has the player's approval (with a 3 million euro per season offer), and he has recently received his first call-up to the French national team. Coach Deschamps even hinted at a transfer: "We've been following him for a while, we like what he's doing with his club, and he could change teams by Friday." His next destination could very well be the Italian capital.
Roma must sell a player to complete Manu Koné deal
First, the Giallorossi club needs to sell players. Abraham is on the verge of joining Milan, and his departure would bring in the necessary funds. The Giallorossi hope to secure a financial sum of 10 million euros in addition to Saelemaekers' transfer.
Milan is willing to offer 7 million, but the deal's conclusion is imminent. Bove is also on the departure list and must choose between Eintracht Frankfurt and Nottingham Forest.
