Tammy Abraham is close to being the newest Milan player. Less than twenty-four hours before the transfer window closes, an agreement has finally been reached between the Rossoneri and Roma, who have decided to finalize this major deal that also involves Alexis Saelemaekers on loan. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Paulo Fonseca will finally have a new center forward at his disposal, a backup to Morata who, hopefully, can live up to the role after Luka Jovic's failure.

A loan exchange between Milan and Roma: Tammy Abraham - Alexis Saelemaekers:
Last night, for a moment, it seemed like the deal might fall through, but the parties managed to salvage it in time, putting it back on track until it reached completion. The initial obstacles have been overcome, reports the newspaper: they concerned the different valuations the two clubs had for the players and the English striker's salary.
Roma and Milan intended to transfer their respective players without significantly compromising their budgets, but the two clubs had very different views regarding the players' valuations.
Therefore, to satisfy both parties involved, the deal's terms were changed during negotiations: from permanent transfers to loans.
Tammy Abraham will therefore be a temporary Rossonero, as will Saelemaekers in the Giallorossi colours.
It is a last-minute solution was also found for the high salary of the English striker, who has agreed to forgo part of the 5.5 million euros he earns at Roma in order to play at San Siro under the guidance of head coach Paulo Fonseca.
