The Italian former footballer, Paolo Di Canio, during Sunday evening's Sky Calcio Club, spoke about the decision by the Portuguese player and Theo Hernandez to stand apart from the rest of the team during the second-half cooling break of the Lazio-Milan match:
"Here, we are talking about serious things, this is a disgrace in my opinion. You’re not in a post-work team where I pay for the field and you can do whatever you want, you’re at Milan. We are talking about Theo and Leao, one of whom often even serves as captain, but what are you doing? Their teammates must have felt downgraded by their attitude."
Milan's number 10 shared an old photo of Paolo Di Canio on his X profile, showing him with his right arm extended upward, a gesture which means the fascist salute.
