After playing part of the American tour with Milan, the 22-year-old centre-forward Lorenzo Colombo was loaned to Empoli with an option to buy set at 7 million euros, where he had an excellent impact right from the start, as relayed via Milan News.
This morning, the forward, who grew up in Milan's youth system, gave an interview to Gazzetta dello Sport in which he spoke about his new experience, his choice to join Empoli, but also about the summer with Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimović, and the new coach Paulo Fonseca.
Colombo's words on the nickname "Hulk" that Ibrahimović gave him:
"Yes. I was coming from the youth team, recovering from two injuries, and spending a lot of time in the gym. Ibrà noticed it and started calling me Hulk."
He then made a remark about the US tour, where he scored a brace against City at Yankee Stadium:
"With Milan, I wasn't even supposed to go, as the Empoli deal was already on the table. I played with freedom and had fun. And I got to see Haaland up close, the strongest striker of our time. He has a sort of aura around him, and when he gets the ball, you feel like he's going to score soon. He seems like a robot."
