The stadium issue is heating up again, with the hope that sooner or later, after years of projects, statements, and institutional meetings, a definitive decision will be reached. Today, Corriere della Sera reports a very important detail about the future of the facility, whether it involves a new one or continuing with San Siro.
The newspaper writes: "Stadium, Inter and Milan remain together. The costs of San Siro."
In the subtitle, it explains how much would be needed for the renovation work on the Meazza:
"700 million have been budgeted for restructuring."
According to reports, the clubs are determined to choose a shared facility: the only question left is where. The reason for this choice is simple: "a necessary solution to cut costs (which are around one billion). It's too difficult to recover the investment with the ticket prices imposed by the Italian state." So, on Friday, the clubs will meet with Sala and assess the San Siro proposal, which would cost, as mentioned, around 700 million euros, to be split between the clubs.
The projects in San Donato and Rozzano remain viable, with the clubs ready to potentially move forward together there as well (if San Siro doesn’t materialise): the two clubs have exchanged documents on their respective projects.
