Former AC Milan goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu has announced his retirement from professional football. He was one of the key players in the victory of the last Scudetto, and many remember the penalty he saved from Lautaro Martinez in the first-leg derby.
The Romanian goalkeeper wore the Rossoneri jersey from 2020 to 2023. After a brief stint with Abha, a Saudi club, he announced his retirement. His message on social media:
"Football, the most beautiful sport in the world, which I had the blessing and honor to play! I gave you everything I had from the very first days until today, I always put you first, and you rewarded me in return. Thank you for the good moments but especially the tough ones. They made me the man I am today! And to all the fans, coaches, teammates, opponents, leaders, referees, and journalists I’ve encountered. I tried to treat them with respect and hope I succeeded. To those who will come after me, I wish you the best of luck! I started 30 years ago, and I stop today. Thank you for everything!"
