Zlatan Ibrahimovic was interviewed this summer by the YouTube channel “First We Feast”, participating in the 'Hot Ones' interview format where the questions are as spicy as the chicken wings.
Here are the most interesting statements from the former footballer.
What the USA tour means:
"First of all, we have good people working in different areas. Not just good, but the best. When you work with the best people, you become the best yourself. Everyone is making a huge effort. Tours like the one in the USA are important: when you come to the United States, fans want to meet the players, and there are great experiences like playing in Yankee Stadium. The guys are happy, and this helps relieve the tough training they’re doing.”
Playing today:
“Right now, I would be able to play 20 minutes. I could score 15 to 20 goals in the league plus 10 in the cup. At least 30 goals in the last 20 minutes of all the matches. When the opponent is tired, I can come in fresh, and that's not ego but the reality of the situation.”
Regarding the differences between leagues, Ibrahimovic said:
"In La Liga, they try to play from the back, even teams that aren’t at the top. In the Premier League, it’s important to have rhythm: it’s always back and forth, so if you’re a great player but out of breath, you won’t manage certain levels just with technique. Serie A is really tough tactically. It’s more strategic, and it’s more important to defend than attack; for a forward, it’s challenging, but if you do well in this context, you feel good.”
On his current life, Ibrahimovic stated:
"Oh, my life is fantastic. I’m here eating spicy chicken wings… I work with Milan now, and I have big responsibilities. I’m grateful to have received this opportunity. When I go back to the office and don’t see results, I’ll make sure to let everyone taste this chicken with the chili sauce from start to finish."
