The challenge between Inter and AC Milan, valid for the fifth day of Serie A and scheduled for Sunday, September 22 at 8:45 PM CEST, will have something missing compared to usual.
The match will be taking place with the Nerazzurri hosting at the San Siro, but their fans will not display any choreography. The moments leading up to kickoff will therefore be less spectacular than what the Milan derby has accustomed us to.
The decision was communicated by Curva Nord, which explained it as follows:
"There won't be the usual choreography, but we will color our section with thousands of flags. The goal is to turn the stand into a sea of Nerazzurri colors, ready to destroy the devil."
So, while there won't be choreography, each fan will receive a flag measuring one meter by 1.50 meters, and about 6,500 flags are prepared.
The reason for this choice, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, is linked to recent events involving some members of the Inter supporters. On September 4, Antonio Bellocco, a former member of Curva Nord, was killed, and the former Nerazzurri ultra leader Andrea Beretta has been accused of the murder.
