AC Milan won the derby in a convincing style. Paulo Fonseca saves his job for now and Fabio Capello spoke about the match in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
Here are his words:
"Fonseca? He deserves great praise. Abraham and Morata impressed me a lot. They are not traditional center-forwards, but they know what it means to move for the team, to help, to create space, to press, to make that extra run. Milan's victory started with their spirit of sacrifice. In my view, I would keep Abraham and Morata as a pair for life, even in the future."
Capello continued to talk about the derby and Paulo Fonseca:
"The victory in the derby will certainly give Fonseca more tranquility, especially in his daily work. Milan has caught up with Inter in the standings; we are only at the beginning of the season, and everything is still up for grabs. However, I don't believe the defeat will have significant repercussions for the Nerazzurri. A setback can happen, even if it's unexpected and painful."
