Youssuf Fofana, the AC Milan midfielder, spoke to the club's official channel.
Here are his words, as relayed by Milan News:
"Everything here is just as it was described to me: the locker room, the teammates, the enthusiasm in the city, and even the fans. I have no regrets and I can't wait to discover more."
On joining the Rossoneri, Fofana said:
"The management has helped me a lot. Especially Moncada, who is also French, gave me a big hand. All the support I received has helped me a lot; the club has been of great assistance. In the locker room, there are several players who speak French. I've tried to speak a little Italian, but for now, I'm not exceptional. There are also English-speaking players, and I try to talk with everyone. I try to learn about different cultures and speak different languages. I always try to speak Italian or Spanish. I even try to say a few words in German to learn it and keep it up."
On the 'courage' sign in the San Siro locker room,
"I didn't notice it at first; I was so focused that I didn't realise it. When I saw it, I was surprised. It's written in different languages. And so it was, we just had to go out on the field and show that we understood."
On his current form:
"Everyone knows the physical condition I arrived in during the summer, and I'm determined to reach 100% as soon as possible. It's not easy, but match after match, I will try to do better and better, and if I make progress, it means I'm on the right track."
On the derby victory, Fofana said:
"I'm very happy. It was my first derby here, the atmosphere was fantastic. It was really a pleasure to play it, and the victory made it perfect. Considering the results we had before, beating Inter can mean a new beginning. It's a good starting point, and I hope we can restart from here to reach the highest possible level."
