Now it must be Rafael Leao's turn. The Rossoneri team is preparing for the match against Lecce, riding the wave of enthusiasm generated by their victory in the derby against Inter.

The supporters still have the performances of Álvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham fresh in their minds—true leaders of the team in the clash with the Nerazzurri. The two forwards guided their teammates in every phase of the derby: from Pulisic's opener to Dimarco's equalizer, and finally to the winning goal scored by Gabbia.

Morata, unsurprisingly, is emerging as the true charismatic leader of this group. The Spanish striker immediately took on two significant responsibilities: replacing Olivier Giroud and becoming the new leader of the team. Even in the home draw against Torino, we saw typical leader-like behavior from him: rallying the team and energising the crowd. After a period of rest, Morata returned to the field from the first minute in a delicate match like the derby, using all his experience to guide Milan to a victory that had been missing for far too long.

The English player has been a real shot of adrenaline. He brings a fighting spirit to every ball, showing tenacity, determination, and a sense of sacrifice. His arrival was very underrated, but Abraham is proving to be a pleasant surprise. If he continues like this, the English striker will certainly be a topic of discussion in the summer when his loan expires, and negotiations with Roma for his signing will need to take place.

Milan winger Rafael Leao must follow Morata and Abraham's steps

The Portuguese star has been heavily criticised in recent weeks, from those who judge his body language to those who don’t consider him a player capable of making a difference. Even in the derby, Leao was under close scrutiny: a rather lackluster first half and a second half full of missed opportunities. The point, however, is that, for better or worse, Rafa is always at the center of every discussion.

Against Lecce, Leao has the chance to reaffirm his desire to be a protagonist. Morata and Abraham have shown the way, and the Portuguese star needs only to follow it, but in his own way, with goals and plays, as pointed out by Pianeta Milan.

Over the past year, many have talked and doubted Leao, especially given that he is wearing the number 10, a heavy shirt which comes with many responsibilities towards the team and fans.
