In five Serie A matches, Lorenzo Colombo has already scored two goals and has helped Empoli earn recognition as one of the most impressive surprises early in the current season.
The forward's card is still owned by Milan. He is clearly hungry for success. He spoke about this in an interview with Corriere dello Sport:
"That hunger is the same I had as a kid; I still have it. I have a goal in mind, and I've always worked with that in mind."
Is it related to AC Milan?
"Well, let's just say I have many goals. Milan is always on my mind."
So it's also about the 'Azzurri', not just Empoli but also the national team?
"Could be..."
And speaking of Milan: this is your third loan in Serie A. Did you expect this to be the year to seize your chances with the Rossoneri?
"Expectations can sometimes mess you up. The truth is that I still need to grow, make mistakes, and, most importantly, play. The level at Milan is very high, and I can only reach it through the path I'm on. I prefer to return when I'm more ready and make the most of the next opportunity."
