AC Milan beat Lecce 3-0 at the San Siro last night. La Gazzetta dello Sport, in this morning's print edition, discussed the victory, and also the performance of the Italian referee Luca Zufferli.

On Davide Bartesaghi's red card:
"The most controversial moment came in the 80th minute when Zufferli showed a red card to Bartesaghi for a foul on Banda. It was a borderline decision. The challenge was rough, but the foot was low, and the Milan player got the ball first before hitting Banda’s ankle. A yellow card might have been more appropriate."
-
On Patrick Dorgu's foul on Milan's winger Rafael Leao:
The free-kick that led to the 1-0 goal is also very questionable: the clash between Dorgu and Leao looked like a normal challenge.
-
On Milan's third goal:
Alvaro Morata: no foul on Ylber Ramadani in the build-up to the 3-0 goal.
Judgement on referee Luca Zufferli:
The red card for Bartesaghi was a bit excessive, and the foul by Patrick Dorgu on Leao that led to the 1-0 free-kick is very questionable, comments the newspaper.
