The current edition of the daily Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport published the following headline ahead of Bayer Leverkusen - Milan fixture, a match valid for the second round of the Champions League scheduled for tomorrow evening in Germany:
"Doubt over Morata, but Loftus-Cheek is warming up."
The Spaniard is suffering from bursitis in his right knee, and considering his importance to the Rossoneri, he will only play if he can provide the right guarantees, as they want to avoid more serious issues.
Loftus-Cheek to replace Morata?
If the ex Real Madrid and Juventus centre-forward cannot make it, or if head coach Paulo Fonseca does not want to risk him from the first minute tomorrow, the starting shirt would go to midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who would operate as an attacking midfielder behind his countryman Tammy Abraham.
