In his editorial for TMW, Luca Marchetti discussed AC Milan's current situation, comparing their performances against Inter and Bayer Leverkusen and reflecting on the Rossoneri’s Champions League schedule.

"Milan find themselves defeated in Germany. They didn’t deserve it, especially given the effort and goal-scoring chances they created in the second half of the game. They were unlucky. However, the intensity they displayed after falling behind wasn’t there before. It was as if they were somehow held back, scared."
"When backed into a corner, something sparked. It’s somewhat reminiscent of what happened before the derby: a very complicated situation, and Milan delivered a memorable performance, capable of serving as a springboard for the season. In general, Milan’s attitude wasn’t disappointing. The result was. And now, after the first two matchdays, the Rossoneri find themselves with zero points, having played against two big teams: it’s necessary to shift gears in Europe."
"This can be helped by the schedule: apart from Real Madrid (at the Santiago Bernabéu on November 5), their opponents will be Club Brugge, Slovan Bratislava, and Red Star Belgrade. And two of those matches will be at San Siro. Then, in 2025 – in the Champions League – they’ll face Girona and Dinamo Zagreb: probably (and on paper) the worst is behind them (or almost)."
