Samuel Chukwueze was signed by AC Milan from Villarreal for around 20 million euros plus bonuses in the summer of 2023. The Nigerian right-winger, however, is not living up to expectations, especially this season under Portuguese head coach Paulo Fonseca.

On Chukwueze's future at Milan
According to what has been reported by Tuttomercatoweb.com, AC Milan will not close the door to a possible departure.
This is because, whether in the 4-2-4 or the 4-3-3 formation, Chukwueze is never in the starting lineup. The starting spot belongs to Christian Pulisic, who, theoretically, should be his first substitute, but the American’s extraordinary form makes him almost indispensable for Fonseca.
When you’re bought for 20 million euros, you clearly expect to be an important player and find playing time, just as the buying club expects performances different from those offered so far.
For this reason, despite the playing time he might get from now on, he must either turn things around or end up on the transfer list in January's market.

Chukwueze's numbers with AC Milan:
The former Villarreal player did make 7 appearances in the Rossoneri colours this season across the Serie A and the Champions League. But, his playing time is not much. In fact, he played a total of 186 minutes.
Last season, under the guidance of Stefano Pioli, he made 33 appearances in total with 1380 minutes played across the Champions League, Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Europa League. He contributed to his team's offensive work with 3 goals and 3 assists.
