The Milan Primavera has started its season well. The rossoneri have made many changes, as numerous players have moved to Milan Futuro. There’s also been a change on the bench, with Abate moving to coach in Serie C and Federico Guidi taking over the rossoneri youth team.
The new coach's work has immediately shown promise, with the Milan Primavera playing excellent matches. Of course, there have been defeats and moments of struggle, but that’s normal given the almost total revolution within the team. This overhaul also affected the attack, with key players like Camarda, Sia, and Cuenca moving to Serie C. This is where Ibrahimovic Jr. is finding more and more space.
Here are the numbers for Maximilian Ibrahimovic in his first year with the Milan Primavera.
In the U20 league, the 18-year-old Swedish left-winger has played seven matches, always starting. Guidi's choice is paying off because the Swedish player has already scored 4 goals, including one against Inter in the derby, which the rossoneri won (data: transfermarkt.it).
In the Youth League, he has made two appearances but hasn’t scored yet, in a more challenging competition for everyone, especially for a debutant. Guidi, the new coach of the Milan Primavera, immediately took him under his wing, relying on him as a fixed starting forward.
In just a few matches, the Swede has become one of the team’s key players, alongside Bonomi. Ibrahimovic is a 2006-born player and has a bright future ahead of him. Soon, he could make the leap in category, possibly playing for Bonera’s Milan Futuro.
He is developing well in the Primavera, thanks in part to Guidi’s excellent work, who quickly understood how to make him play and how to help him grow in the best way.
