In the last few weeks, the Italian media sources spoke about AC Milan's interest in signing a talent from Real Betis. We are talking about Johnny Cardoso, a 23-year-old American midfielder with an Italian passport.
Now, confirmations have arrived from Spain. In fact, sources at AS, revealed that the Rossoneri managers are targeting the former Internacional player.
But, Real Betis has no intention of selling off the American midfielder, who is considered the only defensive midfielder in their squad, and they feel quite confident they can keep him at least until next summer.

In addition to that, AC Milan faces another obstacle: competition from other clubs, particularly Tottenham, who, during the sale of Lo Celso to Betis, inserted a sort of first option for the 2001-born player, currently valued at around 20-25 million euros.
