Ruben Van Bommel gave an interview to NOS on Monday during the Netherlands U21 camp, ahead of the match they later won 3-0 against Sweden, where he started as a left winger.
The son of Mark Van Bommel commented on rumours about a possible transfer to AC Milan, where his father left many memories during the 2011/12 season.
"I lived there for a year and a half as a child, and since then, I have been in love with that club. Whether I have the qualities, we'll have to see. In any case, I will do everything I can."

Ruben, 20, plays currently for AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands. He stands at 192 centimetres tall and occupies the left-winger's position. So far this season, he has contributed to his team's efforts with 6 goals and 3 assists across 11 matches throughout the domestic league, cup and Europa League. His contract with Alkmaar runs until June 30, 2027.
