Tijjani Reijnders, present with the entire team at an event in Malpensa organised by AC Milan and BMW, spoke to Sky Sport. Here are his statements:

You are constantly playing between Milan and the Netherlands. How do you feel? Are you tired?

"I still have enough energy. It's important to recover well after matches and take care of your body. But at the moment, I feel good and have plenty of energy."

This is a crucial moment for Milan's season, with 7 games in 21 days. What will you build on?

"Surely the last matches haven't been the best in terms of results, but the important thing is to stay united as a group and be compact. We have the quality to change the course of this season: we want to win, and we know the upcoming games are important. I have a lot of faith in this group; we can do better than we've done in the last matches."

Does Milan have the level needed to fight for the Scudetto? Reijnders said:

"Yes. There have been tactical changes, and we're improving game by game. The important point is understanding how the coach wants us to play. We're gradually grasping that and developing our game. We have a great group with great quality, and now it's up to us to show it with victories."

Fonseca has played you in several positions. Where do you enjoy playing the most?

"Primarily as a number 8, which is the position I played the most with AZ. I think that's where I can have the most impact. I'm a box-to-box player, and I can play as a 10 or an 8. But the most important thing is to make an impact for the team and try to do well—that's what I aim for in my game."

Do you think AZ's 4-3-3 formation can be replicated at Milan?

"Yes, of course. We do it at Milan. It's not a true 4-3-3; there are two forwards, it's unique. But with the 4-3-3, I can perform well and play as a number 8."

You're almost a Milanese now...

"Life here in Milan is beautiful. My wife loves living here; it's special. My first child was born here in Milan, so it's a very special city."

How is it going with your child? Reijnders said:

"It's wonderful. Sometimes I don't get much sleep at night, but it's fantastic. I have a wonderful wife, and a mother who helps us, so we definitely can't complain. It's the best thing in life."

When will you answer us in Italian?

"In two or three months, I'll answer you in Italian (he smiles)."
