Could AC Milan leave the San Donato project to join Inter in the new San Siro venture?
The Rossoneri club president, Paolo Scaroni, addressed this topic in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning:

"We haven’t overcome the issues with San Siro. First, the costs of the stadium and the surrounding area are yet to be defined. Second, there's still a complex process for obtaining construction permits. The path is still long and difficult. We have reached an agreement, however, with the superintendent on the second tier, which was blessed by Minister Giuli—something that seemed impossible just three months ago. It's a way to preserve the remains of the old stadium, which will be adapted for shops and other activities."
However, this is not the only option for Milan’s future. In fact, there is always another path, as told by Scaroni:
"We haven’t abandoned San Donato; on the contrary, it remains our number one opportunity. It's our priority, given the energy and money we’ve invested. Mayor Squeri need not worry," Scaroni reassured, referring to the mayor of the Milanese municipality, who had requested a meeting with the club's leadership after learning about the San Siro project.
