La Gazzetta dello Sport, on their website, relayed the news that the Bologna - Milan match has been oficially postponed to a later date yet to be announced.
After exploring the neutral venues of Como and Empoli, the online newspaper explained that the League's board of directors decided on the postponement. Bologna was highly satisfied, as they had pushed for this outcome.

The mayor of Bologna, Matteo Lepore, also advocated strongly for this decision. Even before the official announcement, the city's mayor hinted at his satisfaction with the postponement option:
"This morning I spoke with representatives from Lega Calcio for a discussion I consider useful. It seems that a sensitive choice is being made for our area, and I thank them for this."
AC Milan president, Paolo Scaroni, upon leaving the League assembly, expressed his disappointment regarding the decision to delay the match against Bologna and said the following:
"The game is postponed because, in my opinion, the mayor made an incomprehensible decision to prevent the match from being played even behind closed doors. I don't understand why. Faced with the mayor's ordinance, we lower our heads."
Since the next match for Milan in the league now becomes the one against Napoli, it means that Tijjani Reijnders and Theo Hernandez who are both suspended, will be absent from facing Antonio Conte's team at the San Siro on Tuesday, October 29.
