La Repubblica newspaper commented on the Bologna - Milan match which is postponed.
As per the Italian newspaper, the Rossoneri club was very eager to play: they have two suspended players, Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders, who, with the postponement of Bologna - Milan, will not serve their suspension and will therefore miss the next match, the clash with league leaders Napoli.

The Rossoneri were ready to play anywhere. Bologna insisted on not playing because, without a crowd, their season ticket holders, the team, and the flood relief fundraiser (which will be moved to the rescheduled game in February) would be affected. But between the two meetings, figures like Claudio Lotito, the Lazio president and a long-time ally and friend of Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, campaigned for the postponement.
For the mayor, playing with 35,000 spectators in Bologna - Milan at the Dell'Ara stadium was dangerous.
Closing the Dall’Ara to fans, however, would have solved the public order issue. Instead, Lepore decided to prohibit the match, almost sidelining the prefect.
There's certainly a tug-of-war between the left-wing council, which has requested a state of emergency, and the Meloni government, which has yet to grant it. Halting the match created a national echo, similar to 2020, when the ASL (during COVID) decided the fate of Napoli-Juve.
