Coach Daniele Bonera spoke to Milan TV at the end of Perugia - Milan Futuro, where the Rossoneri claimed three points thanks to goals from Gabriele Alesi and Kevin Zeroli.
Here are his statements:
"I think this is a team victory, and that’s what’s most important. It shows that when we’re a healthy group, a group that works daily amid many challenges, the results come through. Today was a tenacious, energetic performance with some moments of struggle."
Bonera added:
"In the first half, we did very well; in the second half, we may have dropped a bit, but with the substitutions, we managed to be a bit more aggressive. I believe we deserved this win, and I’m happy.”
On the mood in the locker room:
"Confidence, I think, is the word that people in the locker room want to hear. Today, in the technical meeting, I told them to believe in themselves and in what we’re doing, because we’re on the right path. I hope this can lead to more results starting Wednesday."
On today’s tactical choices, Bonera concluded:
“I wanted players who moved around; in preparing for the match, we noticed that Perugia relied heavily on man-marking. By moving them around the pitch, we could create difficulties for them. This was the tactical strategy, different from the one against Legnago, where I needed more physicality. Beyond individual performances, the mental approach makes the difference.”
