The president of the Lombardy region, Attilio Fontana, spoke to MilanNews.it on some of the hot topics at the moment, such as the future of the San Siro stadium.
Will Inter and Milan ultimately stay at San Siro?
"Well, let's say it's a path that has been abandoned but is now being reconsidered. Whether they eventually reach an agreement and find a solution remains to be seen. I read statements, for example, from the Milan president, reaffirming that the San Donato option is still seen as a priority. We'll see. There are more opportunities, more possibilities, so I believe the clubs will choose the best one."
Besides San Siro idea... Speaking of Milan's stadium and timeline thoughts...
"That doesn’t depend on me. It's clear that the framework agreement for the Rossoneri's stadium outside of Milan has already started, so I believe they will have to make medium-term decisions—perhaps not immediately, but fairly soon."
