At Coverciano, it's once again time for legends. The annual ceremony of the "Hall of Fame of Italian Football" takes place, a recognition that, since 2011, FIGC has been awarding to players, coaches, referees, and officials who have made history in our football.
The awards for the 12th edition are presented in the Auditorium of the Federal Technical Centre based on the votes of a jury of sports journalists coordinated by Matteo Marani, president of the Museum of Football Foundation.
A delegation from the Italian National Team is also present, including Guglielmo Vicario and Sandro Tonali, who are seated with Niccolò Pisilli and Daniel Maldini. The former Milan midfielder, Sandro Tonali, spoke about the award given to De Rossi:
On Daniele De Rossi:
"Is he an inspiration? Absolutely, perhaps more for Pisilli than for me, but we all admire De Rossi. I’ve also met him in person, and I admired him both as a player and as a person."
Tonali on the admiration for Andriy Shevchenko:
"Sheva? The first time I saw him was at San Siro with the Ballon d'Or. I always have that memory, and I wouldn’t change it for anything else; it always leaves an impression."
