Alvaro Morata has earned the trust of the AC Milan fans and coach. He is a leader for the younger players and a key figure in the attacking setup.

After fulfilling his duties for the Spain national team, he will return to Milanello ready to face his past as the Rossoneri will face Juventus at the San Siro.

Morata's leadership makes him crucial for Paulo Fonseca

He led Milan in Madrid but missed the trip to Cagliari due to a concussion. Unfortunately, the effects were clear. The Spaniard is essential for Milan’s balance, and Fonseca knows it well. On Monday night, the coach will be watching him during Spain’s Nations League match against Switzerland, where De La Fuente’s La Roja will take the field. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid striker is expected to return to the starting lineup after the recent scare and his 20-minute cameo in Spain’s 2-1 victory over Denmark just two days ago. For his national team, the former Chelsea and Real Madrid player is as vital as he is for Milan, but now the Rossoneri need his goals. They’ve been few in these opening months of the season, and on Saturday, Juventus—Morata’s former great love—awaits.

Morata vs Juventus - The history

In five previous meetings against his former team (two with Real Madrid and three with Atlético), the 32-year-old has never scored. Speaking of crucial goals, Camarda, who started in Cagliari, scored for Italy’s Under-19 team in their 3-0 win over Bosnia in the European Championship qualifiers, finding the net just four minutes into the match. The young striker is on the verge of earning a call-up to the Under-21 side, as pointed out by those at Milannews.it.

Christian Pulisic also impressed, providing an assist for Pepi in the USA’s win over Jamaica. Coach Pochettino deployed him as an attacking midfielder, a position Fonseca hopes to use him in regularly at Milan.

But back to Juventus—a club where Morata spent his early years in Italy with great success...

At the time, he was a young striker, perhaps still inexperienced but brimming with potential for Serie A. Today, he’s a cornerstone of Fonseca’s Milan. Against Juventus, has the chance to deliver a significant turning point for Milan’s season. The Vecchia Signora awaits Morata’s arrival; the Spaniard is gearing up for what promises to be a memorable evening—for the Rossoneri.
