AC Milan aims to have Ismael Bennacer back in action by the end of January.
The Algerian midfielder has been sidelined since September due to a severe calf injury that required surgery in Finland.
The ex Arsenal and Empoli player is following a meticulous recovery program: he is currently in Qatar working with a dedicated trainer and is expected to begin personalised training sessions at Milanello in about a month, before rejoining the squad in early January.

Bennnacer's progress is monitored by the club - Evaluations are also ongoing in view of the market
The AC Milan club managers are reportedly carefully considering their January transfer market strategy, as the team needs a backup for Youssouf Fofana who can rotate with the Frenchman in the defensive midfield role.

Two names are being closely watched by Milan’s directors: 20-year-old Moroccan talent Reda Belahyane from Hellas Verona and 23-year-old American (with an Italian passport) Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis, as reported by Corriere dello Sport.
