Interviewed by Corriere dello Sport, the 24-year-old right-back, Eliano Reijnders, brother of Tijjani who plays in the Netherlands for PEC Zwolle, spoke about his brother’s performance at Milan:

"He did well even in his first year. But now he’s really free in his mind. He feels important. It’s only going to get better. What’s his ideal position on the field? From my point of view, he’s an 8. Because in this way, he can both attack and defend."
Eliano Reijnders added:
"He doesn’t have any trouble playing as a 6 (defensive midfielder) or a 10 (attacking midfielder), but in my opinion, his best role is as an 8. Let’s say that with Fofana by his side and Pulisic further ahead, like it happened against Real, Milan’s midfield works well."
Eliano Reijnders also commented on rumours about Tijjani’s future, as he is in negotiations with Milan for a contract renewal:
"Will he stay at Milan for a long time? I definitely think so. I know he’s already talking about a renewal with the club, although I don’t know at what stage the discussions are."
