AC Milan won against Slovan Bratislava. But, it was not a convincing display.
Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, on SportItalia, commented on the match in the following way:
"Milan did some embarrassing things. If we’re just going to stick to the notion of ‘You had to win, and that’s it,’ then we might as well stop analysing matches altogether."
On the first goal conceded by the Rossoneri:

"But the goal Milan conceded at 1-0, that counterattack during an offensive play, is something out of youth soccer. In youth soccer, they tell you: if you do things like that, you shouldn’t even be registered anymore. Clearly, you don’t have a capable coach and you can’t play youth soccer. It was truly embarrassing to keep a match open against a team that I don’t want to insult—though I could call them a bunch of nobodies, which had conceded 15 goals and scored only two in the first four matches."
Milan conceded two, and could have conceded another
"They let in yet another counterattack goal because they wanted to score a fourth. To me, it seems like an attitude you’d find at a recreational railway workers' club, with all due respect, and a coach who, instead of admitting something isn’t working, says they just needed to win and that Leão knows why he was kept on the bench."
