In the Milan team that will take the field Friday evening against Verona, there could once again be two very young players starting from the first minute, as was the case against Genoa a few days ago. In the match against the Grifone, Alex Jimenez started in defense and Mattia Liberali in the attacking midfield. At the Bentegodi, the Spaniard is expected to feature again on the left, while Francesco Camarda might have a chance to start as the forward.

On Sunday evening against the Ligurians, Jimenez delivered a solid performance and was one of the best on the pitch. In Verona, the former Real Madrid player is likely to be preferred once more over Theo Hernandez, who seems headed for a second consecutive match on the bench (he did not even come on as a substitute against Genoa). Fonseca is also seriously considering starting Camarda, with Morata possibly playing a few meters behind him.

This would mark Camarda’s second start of the season after the game against Cagliari, but this time it would be a tactical choice rather than an emergency situation, as was the case in Sardinia (when Morata was unavailable and Abraham was not at his best).

Milan trusts its youth... Could Vos also play soon under Fonseca?

This season, Fonseca has already given opportunities to several young players: Liberali, Jimenez, Bartesaghi, Torriani, and Camarda. Soon, another name could be added to this list: Silvano Vos, a 2005-born midfielder who joined from Ajax last summer, having already played several matches with their first team (13 appearances in the league and 3 in the Europa League).

In the coming matches, Fonseca will have to do without Musah and Loftus-Cheek, so the Dutchman is certain to be included in the senior squad. Against Genoa, he remained on the bench for the full 90 minutes, but who knows—he might get some playing time in Verona, as relayed via Milannews.it.
