After Rafael Leao's injury against Hellas Verona, there was some concern within the Rossoneri camp about the severity of his muscle issue. Fortunately, the tests he underwent yesterday ruled out any lesions, meaning there’s a chance he could be available for the Italian Super Cup.
The results indicated a strain in his left flexor muscle, so it’s not a serious problem. However, it will still be a race against time to see him on the field on January 3, 2025, against Juventus in Saudi Arabia.

How is AC Milan's Rafael Leao doing?
According to Tuttosport this morning, Rafael Leao will undergo another MRI scan in a week to check the progress of his recovery. The outcome of this test will determine whether he can rejoin the group and, therefore, whether he’ll be able to board the plane taking the Rossoneri to Riyadh.
Milan’s number 10 will definitely miss the team’s next Serie A match against Roma, scheduled for December 29 at San Siro.
After that, the goal (and hope) is to have him ready for the Italian Super Cup semifinal against Juventus a few days later.
The Rossoneri's medical room is quite full at the moment, but fortunately, many players are on the road to recovery.
Against Roma, for instance, Alvaro Morata is expected to return after missing the Verona match due to tonsillitis, as well as Christian Pulisic, who is set to rejoin the group in the coming days. There’s even a chance Ismael Bennacer could be back, as he returned to training at Milanello with his teammates yesterday.
As for the Italian Super Cup, the conditions of Yunus Musah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, both dealing with muscle problems, are still to be evaluated.
