The headline published by Il Corriere dello Sport in this morning's print edition reads the following:
"Let me show you the stars"
A harsh response from Inter to Gerry Cardinale. Simone Inzaghi's Inter beats Como 2-0. Marotta fires back after the words of RedBird's CEO: "Only Inter has two stars in Milan." Meanwhile, Carlos Augusto and Thuram help the Nerazzurri reach 37 points. In the other late game, Fiorentina loses at home to Udinese.

Here are Marotta's words yesterday on Sky Sport Italia:
"I wouldn’t have wanted to talk about this topic, but since you asked, I believe it’s only right to respond. These are definitely misplaced, inappropriate, and disrespectful statements towards the prestige and image of our club. I think Cardinale may have gotten a bit confused: it’s true that in the past our majority shareholder went through financial and economic difficulties. Two years ago, Oaktree came in and today they are the owners of our club. So we have outlined the guidelines, and I remind you that managing Inter is completely different. We comply with financial fair play, with national licenses that are very strict when it comes to economic and financial criteria: last season, we went from a loss of 246 million to a loss of 46 million, with the winning of the Scudetto, the Supercoppa, and since it's Christmas and we can have some irony, we earned the second star, and we are the only team in Milan that has one."
